Cane Knife Bases
Cane knives are used in the sugar manufacturing process to prepare the sugarcane for the milling process.
At Crompion International, we manufacture our cane knives with high strength steel capable of handling high levels of cyclic loads, mitigating failure modes such as fracture and yielding during operation.
Cane Knife Bases
Specifications
- High Strength Steel
- Insert Cut
- Shaft Hole
Benefits
- Cost Effective
- Consistent Performance
- Long Life Cycle
- Custom Design Option Available
Cane Knife Tips (CromWear Exclusive)
Factories use the cane knife tips as attachments to the cane knife bases to extend their life cycle. Tips are secured to the bases through welding to avoid any separation during the operation of the equipment.
We manufacture our cane knife tips of a bimetallic composite that provides excellent abrasion and impact resistance. The composite consists of a high-chromium cast iron, bonded to a mild steel backing plate. The high chromium portion withstands high abrasion and high impact, while the mild steel backing plate allows smooth welding to the cane knife.
Specifications
- Hardness 63 HRC +
- High Impact Toughness
Benefits
- Cost Effective
- Excellent Abrasion resistance
- Better Bonding Strength
InsertekTM Cane Knive System (Exclusive)

Factories use the hammer tips as attachments to the cane knife bases to extend their life cycle. Tips are secured to the bases by bolts to avoid any separation during the operation of the equipment.
We manufacture our hammers tips of a bimetallic composite that provides both excellent abrasion and impact resistance. The composite consists of a high chromium cast iron, bonded to a mild steel backing plate. The high chromium portion withstands high abrasion and high impact, while the mild steel backing plate is threaded to help screw the bolt.
