A low-cost, next-generation stainless steel, Cromgard C12 provides strength, corrosion and abrasion resistance, durability and low maintenance, as well as good weldability and formability, making it capable of fabrication by conventional techniques. The material is ductile and has the ability to withstand temperatures between 1112 – 1382° F in unloaded conditions. Cromgard offers the highest specified design (yield) strength versus A36 Carbon (29% greater), 304L (86% greater), and Aluminum (290% greater). Additionally, its hardness, 220 Brinell max, is superior to 304L (9% greater) and Aluminum (70% greater).
